I can steer!

Obviously this is a good thing. I took the Chiseled Brick to Belle Tire today and had a 4 wheel alignment done. The steering feels so precise and for once my steering wheel is centered when I'm going straight.

I'm still getting a vibration during breaking. It doesn't feel like the rotors are warped but rather something else. I almost want to say that the ABS is turning on before it needs to . I'll take her out on I-75 tonight and see what's going if anything. Part of the trouble with diagnosing issues out here is that the roads are horrible, I need to find nice smooth roads.

Tie rods part 2

I replaced the busted tie rod without issue. I used a little bit of PB Blaster to loosen the nuts as well as the tie rod it self. I ended up having to buy some new wrenches which was a lot more expensive than I thought it would be.

The old tie rod 's dust seal was just about 50% gone. I'll take the car in for an alignment as soon as I can find a place that's open, which seeing as it is labor day weekend is not going to be fun if even possible.

Tie rods

Well I finally got around to actually looking at my outer tie rods. The passenger side seems solid, but the driver's side is completely shot. I was able to move it by pushing lightly on the brake rotor, so I didn't even have the mechanical advantage of having the wheel on it. If I had done tie rods before and knew exactly what I was doing I would just get it over with tonight; however, since I've never done this before I figured I would wait until tomorrow to be safe.
